I was born and raised in Kalispell. I am actually a FME alumni! I studied Elementary Education and Spanish at the University of Idaho, Moscow. While in college, I studied abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica for a semester. After graduating, I returned to Costa Rica and taught second grade in a private English speaking school for almost three years. I met my husband Tino there and we later returned to Kalispell to live.
We have two daughters Maya, 8 and Gabby, 4. My interests include traveling, reading, listening to music, camping, hiking, dancing, cooking with my girls, and relaxing on warm sunny beaches.
I have taught preschool, first grade, and second grade for a combined total of 14+ years! I speak Spanish fluently and love to incorporate Spanish into my daily classroom routines. I am a firm believer that kids learn best when they have time to get up and move. I find that incorporating dance, yoga, stretches, music, and brain breaks into my classroom helps my students be better learners and enjoy the being a part of the class. On Fridays we will be celebrating our week with salsa dancing. Feel free to stop in and practice your dance moves with us!
